Movies that I saw in February.


Since I haven't posted a movie blog in a long time, I'm just going to do a super quick recap of what I did watch in February. It's quite a lot so enjoy :)

1. Jack Reacher (2012)
Directed by: Christopher McQuarrie
Starring: Tom Cruise, Rosamund Pike, Richard Jenkins
IMBD Synopsis: A homicide investigator digs deeper into a case involving a trained military sniper who shot five random victims.
Genre: Action, Crime, Thriller

2. Ruby Sparks (2012)
Directed by: Jonathan Dayton, Valerie Faris
Starring: Paul Dano, Zoe Kazan, Annette Bening
IMBD Synopsis: A novelist struggling with writer's block finds romance in a most unusual way: by creating a female character he thinks will love him, then willing her into existence.

3. Love Actually (2003)
Directed by:  Richard Curtis
Starring: Hugh Grant, Liam Neeson, Colin Firth
IMBD Synopsis: Follows the lives of eight very different couples in dealing with their love lives in various loosely and interrelated tales all set during a frantic month before Christmas in London, England.

4. The Hobbit (2012)

Starring: Martin Freeman, Ian McKellen, Richard Armitage
IMBD Synopsis: A younger and more reluctant Hobbit, Bilbo Baggins, sets out on an "unexpected journey" to the Lonely Mountain with a spirited group of Dwarves to reclaim their stolen mountain home from a dragon named Smaug.

5. New Years eve (2011)

Starring: Sarah Jessica Parker, Jessica Biel, Ashton Kutcher
IMBD Synopsis: The lives of several couples and singles in New York intertwine over the course of New Year's Eve.

6. Wreck it Ralph (2012)
Directed by:  Rich Moore
Starring: John C. Reilly, Jack McBrayer, Jane Lynch
IMBD Synopsis: A video game villain wants to be a hero and sets out to fulfill his dream, but his quest brings havoc to the whole arcade where he lives.

7. That's my boy (2012)
Directed by:  Sean Anders
Starring: Adam Sandler, Andy Samberg, Leighton Meester
IMBD Synopsis: While in his teens, Donny fathered a son, Todd, and raised him as a single parent up until Todd's 18th birthday. Now, after not seeing each other for years, Todd's world comes crashing down when Donny resurfaces just before Todd's wedding.

8. Overboard (1987)

IMBD Synopsis: A cruel but beautiful heiress screws over a hired carpenter, who later is the first one to find her when she gets amnesia. Looking for a little revenge he convinces her that she's his wife.

9. The Amazing Spiderman (2012)

10. Se7en (1995)

 IMBD Synopsis: Two detectives, a rookie and a veteran, hunt a serial killer who uses the seven deadly sins as his modus operandi.

11. The Silence of the lambs (1991)

Starring:  Jodie Foster, Anthony Hopkins, Lawrence A. Bonney
 IMBD Synopsis: A young FBI cadet must confide in an incarcerated and manipulative killer to receive his help on catching another serial killer who skins his victims.

12. Silver Linings Playbook (2012)
Directed by:  David O. Russell
Starring:  Bradley Cooper; Jennifer Lawrence; Robert DeNiro
 IMBD Synopsis: After a stint in a mental institution, former teacher Pat Solitano moves back in with his parents and tries to reconcile with his ex-wife. Things get more challenging when Pat meets Tiffany, a mysterious girl with problems of her own.

13. Argo

 IMBD Synopsis: A dramatization of the 1980 joint CIA-Canadian secret operation to extract six fugitive American diplomatic personnel out of revolutionary Iran

14. Hotel Transylvania (2012)
Directed by:  Genndy Tartakovsky
Starring:   Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Andy Samberg
 IMBD Synopsis: Dracula, who operates a high-end resort away from the human world, goes into overprotective mode when a boy discovers the resort and falls for the count's teen-aged daughter.
Genre:  Animation, Comedy, family

15. The adventures of Ford Fairlane
Directed by:  Renny Harlin
Starring:   Andrew Dice Clay, Lauren Holly, Wayne Newton 
 IMBD Synopsis: Ford "Mr. Rock n' Roll Detective" Fairlane is experiencing problems, and it's not with the opposite sex. One of them is that all the rock stars pay him with drum sticks, koala bears, food processors and bicycle shorts. Another one of them is that all his employers that want him to find a girl named Zuzu Petals get killed. Why didn't he become a fisherman's detective instead? A must-see for Andrew Dice Clay fans.

17. Total recall (2012)
Directed by:  Len Wiseman
Starring:   Colin Farrell, Bokeem Woodbine, Bryan Cranston
 IMBD Synopsis: A factory worker, Douglas Quaid, begins to suspect that he is a spy after visiting Rekall - a company that provides its clients with implanted fake memories of a life they would like to have led - goes wrong and he finds himself on the run.
Genre:  Action, Adventure, Sci-Fi
