These veggie burgers are high in protein, and super tasty( according to my family, but you know how family can be biased)! Oh, and did I mention they contain no meat?
Ingredients
- 1 can of white kidney beans( drained)
- 2 cups of cooked brown lentils( you can just boil these before you prepare your burgers, but make sure they retain some moisture)
- 1/2 diced onion
- 1 grated carrot
- 1/8 cup of white flour
- a pinch of salt
- Olive oil
- Mixture of different herbs and spices
Method
- Using a wooden spoon mash the kidney beans, onions, carrots, herbs and spices into a large bowl until it gets mushy
- Measure out your 1/8 cup of flour and sift it into the patty mix
- Continue to mash the mixture
- Shape the mixture into patties.
- Optional: You may lightly coat the patties with flour, for a more crispier patty
- Heat 2tbs of olive oil in a large pan
- Fry patties for 3 minutes on each side, or until you are happy with them
- Serve the patties on a burger roll with additions of your choice
- Enjoy!
I hope you enjoy this recipe!
